Felipe Gálvez

Chilean filmmaker based in Paris.

His debut feature, THE SETTLERS (Los Colonos, 2023), won the FIPRESCI Prize in Un Certain Regard at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, becoming the first Chilean production ever to receive the award. An eight-country co-production, the film was selected as Chile's official entry for the 96th Academy Awards, won Best Film at the Stockholm International Film Festival, and screened at TIFF, NYFF, BFI London and San Sebastián.

His short film RAPAZ (2018) premiered at Cannes Critics' Week.

He is currently developing his second feature, IMPUNIDAD, a spy thriller set against the 1998 arrest of Augusto Pinochet in London.
